May My Way Poem by Gary James Smith

May My Way

Rating: 5.0

May My Way

May my way be Thy way Lord
A surrendering of my will
To wait upon Thy Spirit Lord
To enjoy your " peace be still"
Learning to cast more swiftly
My every care upon You
Abiding in wonderful fellowship
As we walk each day on through

Practicing faith more faithfully
Pondering more thoughtful in prayer
Expanding my horizon for service Lord
Submitting to servanthood there
Enjoying the wonder of Salvation
Knowing my sins have all been forgiven
Walking with ahope of a brighter tomorrow
Knowing I'm bound now for Heaven

Leaning not unto mine own understanding
But trusting You in all of my ways
I'm finding that the more I do that
My heart becomes filled with Thy praise
The joy of You Lord is my strength
For in You...praise God I am strong
For You have defeated my chiefest foe
I can praise You for that all the day long

Shepherd me Lord in my walk
As I trust in You Lord each day
Make my spirit to fall into line
As Your Spirit leads the way
My fortification...deep in prayer
Your Word have I hid in my heart
Living with a passion now to share
That Jesus can live in your heart!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

a beautiful poem, especially welcome in these troubled times. I pray that all my friends across the pond are well.
