May The Highest Affection

May the highest affection of my heart
Be unto Thee O my God
Be Thou my chiefest meditation
In the searching out of your Word
Protect me from sin's contamination
May your Spirit give me victory
Then I'll walk with joyful rejoicing
For the God you are to me

And what a God I have in You
For you are God...and God alone
None other can usurp your authority
For You rule from Heaven's Throne
And set in course the direction of
Those who seek to do your will
The steps of a good man are ordered by God
The obedient soul is still!

There's no want of praise in me
For my heart is overflowing
With the ownership of so great Salvation
My God is sure worth the knowing
And to think that sinner's can
Be saved by the blood of the Lamb
I'm so glad I trusted in Christ
And found Him the Great I Am!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
