I closed my eyes, so I can see you better
I closed my eyes to think of you deeper
I shut my eyes tightly to dream of you
And to see the blissful life that we've had
Over the years. I'm looking and staring at you
I'm smiling and laughing, and I'm very glad
That we've met again. After decades apart
I was amazed that you had a spot in my heart.

I shut my eyes to better analyze your adoring smile
I closed my eyes to fully understand your sassy style
I closed my eyes to be charmed by your whole being
To be re-energized by the perfume of your body
And by the gentle tropical warmth that's soothing
My very existence. After more than a decade together
I shut my eyes, hoping and praying that our love lasts forever.

May God bless you, my Love! Every day is special to me
Your birthday is striking and precious to me, sweet honey.
