Me Poem by Joanna Hamilton

Me

My name you ask is
Unimportant
My story you seek is
Untold
My life you wish to have is
Disaster
My loved ones you long to hold are
Dead
My future you wish to predict is
Unreliable
My past you wish to learn of is
Unknown

My song you wish to steal has
Vanished
My will you wish to break is
Shattered
My heart you want to love is
Frozen
My body you wish to own is
Mine
And mine alone

Myself unto myself
My walls are
Built
My gates are
Locked
My guards stand at their
Posts
No one shall get
In!
No one is
Allowed!
