Me And My Memories - Poem by mamutty CHOLA

ME AND MY MEMORIES

Early morning when I looked outside through window
Spring was in full bloom, all the trees were
Dressed up with fresh leaves and flowers like brides

The leaves were dancing with the gentle flow of
morning breeze. To cap it all, birds were singing
in praise of nature for the gift of spring boom

I couldn't resist thinking of our days together
Your memories came rushing like action replay
All efforts to forget in vain, you are part of me

When we met, thought my dreams realised
But cruel hands of destiny took you away from me
I never loved you becauseof your exceptional beauty

Not becauseof your hypnotic eyes resembling serene lake
Not because your enchanting long hairs like floating dark clouds
Not because of your rosy cheek and lips like rose petals

Not because of your beauty like fairy from paradise
Not because of your majestic walk like peacock and deer
Only and only because you loved me for my sake
Your love for me was exceptional and unconditional

Your memories have been my cotravelers in life
When alone I look at moon and see your reflection
Never ask how I have spent days which were impossible to spend
Be happy with your loved ones who are your destiny and life now
ByMamutty chola.
