Me And Waste? Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Me And Waste?

Me and waste?

Me and waste?
-no never!

I rather get lost, die
-be buried in grave
-or thrown in jungle
-if wasting an apple
-even nut, vegetable

How can I be allowed?
-not to see the people
-working hard to grow
-sleepless of hunger?

Won't call me man of mind
-if I am of such kind
-waster, waste-thrower

I dry the fruits
-or boil them
-have the juice

I use them regardless
-of how and or the when,
-or the way; however

Saw apples in shiver
-when told them
-will eat them
-if fresh or rotten
-iced or unfrozen

I respect my own word
-after cut set them boil
-now they are in the pot
-in water, on cooker

Soon consume and use them
-can I waste? No, never.
-wasters are betrayers!
-I am not one of them.
