Me, Myself And Poetry Poem by Frank Adie

Me, Myself And Poetry

Poetry is my sport
Writing and reading poetry is my hobby
I breathe, live and think poetry
It is a sweet music to my soul
And an antidote to my sorrow
Nothing can be compared to it
Nothing can ever be like it
I give it my heart and my soul
It is my everlasting source of euphoria
If you want to bribe me, bribe me with poetry
It you want to lure me, lure me with poetry
If you want to ambush me, bait me with poetry
I am defenceless against it
I am a slave to it
But I don't want to be free
I am a willing captive
And will joyfully remain its prisoner.
