Meaning Of Eternal Life Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Meaning Of Eternal Life

Some time I'll reach my final day
When life within must ebb away,
The years on earth God gave to me
Will be a fleeting memory.

The seasons have just drifted by.
Many moons have graced the sky,
And winter's honeysuckle bloom
Has filled the air with rich perfume.

I have seen small babies born.
Life's miracles, with each new morn.
Heavenly joy for man and wife
And the meaning of 'eternal life'.

There has been sadness in the years
When I have shed unwanted tears.
But my world became a fairer place,
When love did my soul embrace.

Come has the time for thanks to flow
For the wonderful glory here below.
For beauty of the sea and sky
And the Paradise that waits on high.
