May God grant us an understanding heart,
May He give us a leading to His truth.
Let peace reign within the bowels of our hearts,
Let love reign within the outskirts of our lips.
Let kindness and gentleness be our daily greeting,
Let our hands stretch forth with friendship.
Let our embrace be of godliness,
We are God’s children
and His fruits we must bear.
Let’s not be quick to judge,
We know very little.
Let’s be mild and sensitive in criticism,
Not all are strong.
Let’s give one another room to mature,
We are young in our understanding.
Let God who knows all be the judge,
His judgment is according to truth
to them that know it.
And we, His children,
must bear His mark
in our daily rounds.
