1
Piers are stationary
Commuter ferries are in motion
The names of the piers are rivals
To those of the commuter ferries
2
How many times
Have those diligent
Commuter ferries
Carried lovers
From one shore
To the other?
3
While silent schools of fish
Pass one by one
Through the shadows
Of noisy fishing boats
Whether the bountiful sea
Belongs to the schools of fish
Or to the fishing boats
Remains still uncertain
4
As a nautical buff
Just as I love all whales and dolphins
I also love my clever and playful orca friends
I cannot say whether
They love me back
But I would like them to know
That all I ever destroy are my poems
That insist on never ending
