Meera Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Meera

Can my mind ever be free?
Party-girls and party-boys;
Can my hand ever stop writing?
Party-boys and party-girls;
Can my heart ever be free?
Party-girls and party-boys;
Can my words stop your acts?
Party-boys and party-girls;
For there is a better way to live than hate.

You are so sweet on this bed,
You are so hot on this love,
And you are my star and my lover!
Pie, lie, die.

I have kissed a girl and,
I did make love to her;
For she was as sweet as the honeycomb.
This girl i met is callled Meera and,
I am like a nomad on her sweet ocean of love.
I have the ability to live longer on this love and,
She is all that makes the world go round me.

Of her way,
Of her truth,
Of her life,
And of her light;
For her bush is too nice for me to go through.

This love had taken me a very long time to reach,
Like the party-girls and the party-boys;
But, can my mind ever be free? !
For her bush is so nice and clear and,
My love will always reach out to her.
