Meet In The Middle Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Meet In The Middle

If you think you're right, or I think you're wrong,
There must be a way for us to get along.
We have to be willing to give in a little,
So, we can find a way to meet in the middle.

Whether you're right wing or left wing,
Does it really matter if there's such a thing?
Life can sometimes be a confusing riddle,
So let them find a way to meet in the middle.

If you're a Liberal or if you're a Conservative,
Is that really a way you want your children to live?
Stop the quarreling because life's too brittle,
We must find a way to meet in the middle.

We all worship with different religions,
And a God with many different versions.
Look at the big picture, don't be so little,
We'll all find peace when we meet in the middle.
