Midnight Moon Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Midnight Moon

The stars shine dimly in the midnight skies
The shadows moving can deceive your eyes.
The cover of clouds is so dark and dreary
The feelings described can only be eerie.

The wind picks up and the cloud cover shifts
The moonlight shines and the darkness lifts.
The nighttime creatures begin to prowl
The wolves look up and begin to howl.

The wind through the trees makes an eerie sound
The shadows are moving slowly across the ground.
The moon and the stars give off a dim light
Barely piercing the deep dark night.
