Meet Me (A Love Poem) Poem by john (called jack) wren

Meet Me (A Love Poem)

Meet me at the meadow
Beside the old chestnut tree,
Where its boughs kiss the earth
My love, I will kiss thee.

Meet me by the lake
And listen to its tune,
As the reeds play a melody
We'll make love all afternoon.

Meet me by the burn
Under the weeping willow,
Beneath its cascading twigs
My arm will be your pillow.

Meet me on the bridge
On a cloudy misty morn,
To wrap in an embrace
Until the coming dawn.

Take this handkerchief
So damp with my tears
Hold it to your heart my love
To chase away my fears.

Let this moment live forever
As two warm lips meet,
And explode hidden feelings
That nothing can compete.
