Meeting Che

Ernesto Guevara
-to some is a hero
-to some is prophet
-some see him as evil.

I spent a long time
-walked his path
-talked and dined
-with colleagues and friends
-as well as those against.

Finally, and at end…
-I see him as fruit
-of the time and place…

I looked at his parents
- (how they lived!)
-felt his need:
-to take leave!
-so, came time
-for the bike…

And result?

Saw the things
Came in touch

With the facts of the mines
With miners seeking job

With them he, heard insults…

Ignored were Leprosy
-on island, out of reach…

He read of Mariategui:
- "Seven Essays"
-met Helen…
-…UFC and far more…

All of these made: "El Che! "
