Meeting Death Poem by Randy McClave

Meeting Death

One true fact that no man cannot deny
It is that one day soon he will die,
No matter the life that he had led
One day soon he will lie dead.
No matter the exercises that we do or the food that we eat
One day soon our maker we will meet,
Live a life fast and bravely or safely and slow
But, one day soon it will be our time to go.
There's a clock that's ticking upon the wall
The end of time it comes to us one and all,
Heaven counts out our every breath
Until the moment that we greet death.
Deep into the future if you try to stare
Your life is not ever waiting there,
Those rules you cannot break or ever bend
One day soon we will all meet our end.
