Memmoirs Of A Troubled Soul Poem by ALFRED KIBII

Memmoirs Of A Troubled Soul

Rating: 5.0

Mutual love that once nourished our souls,
That bond that changed our lives,
And engulfed us in happiness
And vows poured out of our heart's countenance,
And Engraved in our hearts and stuck to our lips
Promises that entwined our visions,
And entangled us in the sphere of romance,
We were formed for each other from the beginning of creations,
And only death could separate us,

Last night, a dark force overwhelmed your promise,
Your soul was troubled by external voices,
Your voice on the phone was hoarse,
Our talk was short and unusually meaningless,
Now you are gone for seventy two hours,
I am lonely and anxious,
I am sick with love and nothing soothes,
My soul graves for your love and your voice,
I writhe and wriggle in bed with unending pains,
The night is long and its darkness threatens,

My rose has grown thorns……..
