Memoir Of A Confused Heart Poem by Sofia Moreno

Memoir Of A Confused Heart

The night closes on us
The stars are hiding tonight
The Moon stares blindly
And my heart wanders.

It seems endless, how it is
How I change into the devil
And crush your heart tonight
While you simply say my name.

Possibly, maybe, somehow
It is never definite, I sigh
“Just black and white”, you say
And the night engulfs our words

Darkness lets Monster free now
Could as well start with D
And she’ll shout: “why, just leave! ”
And I’m always tempted to…

Because I always fall down
And my tears always hidden
And you keep your hope up
Because you think you can…

It might as well be hell
All this thorns I put along
And you keep saying it;
Saying my name as you stare.

Shall I go? And let you be…?
Shall I stay? And see you dead…?
It’s true that I want you.
But I want you safe too.

Don’t hold my hand anymore!
Let me go… Embrace me tight,
Just here, where I can’t just run,
Just here, where I’m simply yours.
