Memories Poem by Rodney Quills

Memories

Rating: 5.0

It's so sad how much I hated this year
Yet every week further I miss the week no longer here

New friends are made old friends are lost
Just like the summer changes to winter's frost

Another year passes your another year older
Each year gained is like memories put into a folder

Until it fills up and needs to be tossed
More memories will be gained, and still more lost

Very evocative and moving, and so very true at the same time...

How sad and reminiscent. Hopefully this years memories will be beautiful. Well written verse. I give it high marks, indeed. Blessings. Sheila
