MEMORIES
I have been keeping you in the casement of memories
And through constant remembrances I have again made you young
This habit of being annoyed has become your permanent habit
I have become tired of imploring you every moment
My autobiography has now shrunk and frozen so much
That I am obliterated the more, the more I try to build myself
Now my night waking has become my sympathetic companions
This is all because you have made me habitual of this life
Long lives have passed away that you did not come before me
My eyes have become old by removing the curtains before me
If you kept on praying in the same way then these would change into trees
With this hope we have filled the entire garden with saplings
In whatever conditions and pains I have been living
I have kept you secure from every kind of storm
All my faculties have been exhausted and become vain
And all my words of love have ended by telling the stories of your love.
