I have such fun-filled memories
Of rain through childhood years
I remember my brother and I
Said it was angels shedding tears
We never used raincoats
Or umbrellas for our heads
We romped like little puppies
Absorbing the rain instead
Of course way back then
I had no glasses on my face
I looked straight up to the sky
Enjoying that lovely wet space
And as the skies would darken
Lightening flashed and thunder rolled
We were so excited that we kept
Laughing happily as we strolled
Ah yes, it was such fun, my friend
But now they’re a different strain
I don’t think kids of today will have
Such wonderful memories of rain!

I think we were a lot less restricted, children are not allowed to explore, it's a bad reflection on society to-day. Lovely reminder `10 Chris
