MEN IN MASKS
They come in tattered penury
And preached salvation to our desperate souls.
Freedom, justice and democracy was their sermon.
A small Bush warfare toppled state authority
Betwixt ululations and heroic salutations.
The twenty seven guns captured the Big City.
Nobody thought them devils in angelic faces,
They seized the bloody throne and took oath.
God and the nation they mentioned both.
Three and six decades down the road, they
Have adulterated our constitution and planted tyranny.
Our backs are overly weighted by the dictatorship.
Power thirsty goblins trample destitute multitudes,
Arrests and tear gas is all the regime has bred.
