Merlin Descends Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Merlin Descends

Merlin
Descends
The
Seas
And
Frowning
By
His
Magic
Skill
Through
That
Bubbly
Region
Goes
Faster
Than
Fastest
Fish
Merlin
The
Old:
Youth
In
His eyes
Twinkles
The
Fish
Salute
His
Magic
Mightiness
Ah! though
Old
His
Magic
Brought
A
Twinkle
In
His eye!
The
Night
The
Whole
Night
He
In
That
Solitary
Unique
Region
Spent
Then
When on the waves
Saw he
The first grey light
Up to the shore
Sped he
Stood on the shore
Opened his hands
To welcome the
New Dawn
And the new Day
Dawn to him came
Saluted respectfully
The great magician
Bowed all
Gracefully
And disappeared in
A cloud of mists
Dawn smiled till
The mists faded
And went
And left Dawn and
New Day to rule
That side of Earth.
