Mermaid Song Poem by Corina Junghiatu

Mermaid Song

Throwing trawl
From ropes oflight,
I kneel on the water gloss.

That leaps to touch
Your suave kiss
And I pray to transform you in a story
I will hit you by the stars
To become my light
On nights with insomnia,
But you would turn into a song
I would engaged to the sound
What could go through
The Iconostasis of the sea
Separates us.
