Merry Christmas! Poem by Lilian Chromious Eveson

Merry Christmas!

The freezing wind that howled whispered greetings of old,
frosty toes, peppermints and sweaters for the cold,
silver bells singing with the twinkle twikle light,
silly grins skippy walks, the night is shining bright!

Yesterday or tomorrow can never be today,
Oh! Children can brighten with only two words to say!
The night might be ending with twenty-two new pairs of socks,
but I could've sworn I saw Santa Claus in Slacks!
