The Day You Said No Poem by Lilian Chromious Eveson

The Day You Said No

I can see you from here,
But can you see me my dear?
Do you know you made everything so clear?
My heart solely beats for you, can you hear?

I keep telling you with no words that I love you,
Because believe me I really truly do,
After all these years, how can you not grasp the clue?
That loving you is like saying the sky is really blue.

I long to be seen in your beautiful eyes,
But I can't find my place in your heart of ice,
I already tried every number in my set of dice,
I can't make you notice me, am I not nice?

What does he have that I do not?
A very close friend, I am only but?
Once upon a time you had a friend and then dot? !
My love! Can you not nottice my heart, or will you just let me rot?

I am tired of showing what you cannot see,
I do not harbor anymore cousrage and bravery,
I can ask you no more to accompany me,
For I can never be the guy that I used to be.

It's not your fault but mine,
I got the wrong story and line,
I misread the flutters and the sign,
Thinking I'm in perfect contol and rhyme.

I fell for you, but who can I blame?
I swore to myself I cxan never be the same,
I know I'm careless and slightly lame,
But just how did I end up standing in the rain?

My sweet! Please look here and do not go,
I can't bear to touch you, I can't go that low,
Had time finally stopped so slow,
That I'm still stuck to the day you said no?
