Message In A Bottle Poem by Phil Soar

I put a message in a bottle
and threw it out to sea
I wonder if it's found sometime
someone will write to me
it could be from across the world
or just around our coast
a few nice words is all I want
that's what would mean the most

It could drift on forever
and mix with many others
becoming just a mass of bottles
quite a band of brothers
the tides could send it to and fro
and float it round the earth
and as it finds it's way ashore
its journey shows its worth
