Message To My Future Baby Poem by Strawberry T. Dube

Message To My Future Baby

I didn't cry
Because they were looking at me,
I said everything is fine
Because they always
Wanted it to be,
I grew up strong,
Because that how they raised me.
Today I can't sympathize
With anyone feeling the pain
Because they weren't raised same way I did,

They were told to be weak,
As child suppose to be,
they were told to cry,
As child suppose to.
And here I am, calling them"cheese
Boys, mamas boys, gays etc"
No they're not what I say they are,
I'm wrong.
The fact is they were raised in good
Way a child supposed to be raised.

MASSAGE TO MY FUTURE BABY:
"Baby you don't need to be strong,
You still young
I'll be strong for you.
There's no need
For you to hide the pain,
Just cry whenever you feel the pain
And I'll wipe your tears.
Never pretend everything to be fine,
Life has it ups and downs I know
But I'm here to fine everything for you.
I'm saying this to you
So that you won't go around
Insulting everyone
Who was raised with love,
Calling them with
names as I did".
