Messed Up Heart Poem by Angel 'zy' Dela Cruz

Messed Up Heart

Too many chances you waste,
Pushing the spark that didn't exist.
Trying to mend the heartache,
Of the restless heart that you break.
Sadly, you cannot undo what has been done,
Nothing else to do but pray it will be gone.

Who are you to treat her like that?
Leaving her alone with a heart full of cracks?
How could you do that to her,
When she is as precious as a pearl?
Have you had any idea how painful it was?
'Coz after you left, she has no idea who she was.

You took the part of her when you chose to leave,
She cried and cried 'till there's nothing left to grieve.
Her life is as dull as a barren soil,
You are alone and can give her that happy fuel.
She's like a lifeless and dying tree,
Just waiting to wither so she could be free.

Despite it all, she chose to go on.
Erasing you in her life helps her to move on.
Soon, her heart will fall in love again,
It'll be perfect, and there will be no more pain.
Her past with you makes her a strong woman,
With that, she deserves to be loved by a wonderful man.

Our hearts sometimes need to be broken,
So we will know what/who we are lookin'
Falling in love is quite easy to do,
You will feel the unrecognizable feeling that only you know.
Love is a necessity for all humans,
'Coz if your heart knows what it wants, that's the most important.
