Metonymy - Poem by Audrey Stephenson

Metonymy, a novel thing
Free from vulnerability
True impressions can’t be seen
But you still say what you want

I know it’s harsh
This lack of faith
But hope it just intoxicates
Realization’s a bitter state
Ambition’s just a fall
