I planted a cypress tree today.
Nearby, I caught a glimpse of you
Hidden within laughing leaves
Of a weeping willow.
Your magick wand desperately pushed me away
Still, I approached the base.
Wounded deeply to the roots by
Salted water manifested by none other than myself;
Yet there you were up on the highest branches
Triumphantly a top of the World
Watching me so far below
Planting a cypress tree.
A well drafted and nicely composed piece of poetry. Lovely and passionate. Thanks for sharing Orpheus.
