Mid Life Crisis. Poem by Glenn Ford

Mid Life Crisis.

Rating: 5.0

I think I've reached my peak
No more seeing clear
The futures looking bleak
I'll be old this time next year.

I'm going down hill quite fast
My hair is going grey
How long will I last?
It's getting hard to say.

Everything seems harder
Tummy's growing big
I'll have to leave the larder
And buy myself a wig

I'm getting kind of wrinkly
The kids all drive me mad
My hands are very crinkly
In fact I'm pretty sad

My daughter's just come home
She's looking rather glad
She says 'You shouldn't moan, '
'Your looking younger dad! '

I'll learn to play a guitar
And grow my hair down long
I'll buy a sporty car
And write a best selling song.
