Midnight Magic Poem by janice etienne

Midnight Magic

It can't be real
it can't be real
the things i see, the things i feel
it can't possible be real

In the middle of the ocean
beneath the midnight sky
in his arms i lie

No place to run, no place to hide
struck motionless by his side

Hearing nothing but the waves and his heart
i feel hopeless torn apart

My emotions so naked so bare
unassumingly he smiles and stares

Embarrassed and ashamed
i feel loved, and a desire to tell him the thoughts that i can't tame

He loves me naked personality and all
with him i feel so powerful and tall

So safe, so close and tight
he holds me as we acknowledge the magic of midnight
