Midnight Thoughts - Poem by Erin Jane Creshilt

Lying on my bed late at night
With the dazzling moonlight streaming through the windows
Random thoughts swirling in my head
Concealed emotions crowding inside my chest
Listening to my heart thumping against my ribcage
And wondering whether yours was beating to the same rhythm as mine

Topic(s) of this poem: love, unrequited love
