Dear God of the Universe
Might "Religion" be the crux of our pain
Constant the adversary
Categorically unnecessary
Dear God of the Universe explain

America's plight...no mystery
One look at U S history
Indian eradication...Slavery....the Klan
Religion's decision
Biblical precision
None greater evil...perpetrated...on Man

....Woe....thus behold
It's all about control
Sunday morning machinations...its bluster
Herding the sheep
Consequently keep
Religious fanatics guaranteed...to muster

The gullible...the moldable
The ignorant...the controllable
Was this part...of a greater....master plan
Folks tending to besmirch
Most often pillars of the Church....
Heads...and religious noses buried....in the sand
