Mighty Quest, Blinded When I Rest.. Poem by Blake Ruley

Mighty Quest, Blinded When I Rest..

I dream about her constantly, I know not her name.. I see her frequently but not her face, eluding and hidden without my sight, Minutes tick, falling 'to twilight..
As I lay and as I cuddle, the night whispers of, her or could it be pure drivel? ..
I fear a day when I know its late. When I'm old, grey and bent out of shape. A day to never arrive, fear playing tricks, damn this hopelessness! !
Dark and empty without her peace, crashing waves beckon without mercy, an without grace. With light and lady in thus dream, light becomes sight, in my dreams but-alas.. I am blind and but a blur, foggy song and memories to adore - oh so fleeting...
The tower pierces through.. with this dame, with this maiden,
I light shine thee dawn, this horizon - a highpass beacon..
I have been places, worlds and more! Its not just my rock of my island - of superior reclusion..
Oh so fleeting, haste I make.. to start autonomy..
...I confess I am afraid to love, for if I had wings of peace.. solace in sound.. I would get the things done, oh and if I had the funds...
Wake up from your stupor slumber, I speak to us both... I've spent two decades alone at most!
It is a hell, I shall not suggest... That God himself put this old soul to the test..
And in my darkness of my plight, and as I sleep again goodnight - I will call your name whomever loves me, by chance an cast this one may reach you. For where ever you may be..
Know this..
Our love is, and should be - this Mighty Quest!
