Miles From You Poem by Isayah Ezra Kuhlmann

Miles From You

As I sit here and gaze towards the stars

Knowing that your another country away

Is like you in Earth and I'm in Mars

You in August and I in May

But I said I'll never fade from your life, I swore

Even though four weeks feels like four years

A thousand miles feels likes ten thousand more

I'll never forget those tears

When you said I'll miss you

I could see your smile brighten

When I whispered 'me to'

Nothing seemed frighting

But in four weeks, you'll be here

Beside me, hand in hand

Ready to delight our fear

And conquer this land
