Mindfulness In A Less-Mindful Land

Mindfulness,
powerful in Meditation,
found its meaning diminished
in a less-mindful land.

It sought another name
for more there to understand.

Before going to make a drink,
a writer took note of his pen.
On his return the pen was there;
not lost in the bedclothes,
nor left on the sink.

Mindfulness found there
what it was looking for.

It put to the vote:
Note-taking, or,
Taking Note
