I rock-hopped unseen
below the path on the wave-
smoothed rocky island.

I could be hit by
a rock or stone thrown out of
lack of mind or care.

I thanked who'd walked the
path before, left it relat-
ively loose-rock...of

loose rocks relative-
ly bare; mindless of pockets
of rocks from elsewhere.
