Mirror Mirror Poem by Oreoluwa Sanni

Mirror Mirror

To hurt you back would be to hurt myself.
I wish not Ill on you.

Have you ever wanted something but know it won't be worth it if it was real?

I feel I'm that kind of deal.

The love in my heart I hold for you never ceases.

The pain that we felt that still lingers from being heartbreak's devoted witness might never diminish as well but however love might still have better stories to tell.

We rose then we fell unprepared for the task.

To get better equipped is the only way that we'll ever pass.

The Phoenix burns but it's never utterly defeated even tho it fell in the past.

From the ashes of yesterday's folly,
the future awaits a brand new you to take a stand and then the reflection in the mirror might be the only thing you deem worth your hand.

Welcome to the new age, new challenger.
Welcome to the new age, young brave heart.
Welcome to the new age, glorious masterpiece.
Welcome to the new age, kiddo.
