Mischief And Malice Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Mischief And Malice

He or she who is born
Born free like a bird
Up to date with-
Life is to be lived
Not to be snatched.

On the one side
The people celebrate
World Suicide Prevention Day
On the other goes on genocide
No one commits suicide
If he or she feels cared for.

Though, the darkness of times
Precedes the dawn-
Outlaws care a fig for the laws
Or the prosecutions with death.

The teenagers in hopelessness
Feel and find reasons, not to live
Searching, online how to kill self
Stock killing pills or buy weapons
Addicting-
To the abuse of alcohol or drugs
Shying in facing the face of truth
Instead of-
Lining-up for better tomorrow
Having no faith, no trust
In the system or social setup
Feeling sick due to lack of will
Will to act or react with an object
To restore back hope and belief
A clean and value-based system.
Not over yet, ringing a warning bell
When, each soul needs to be its hero.

Reviving its survival instinct
Help fighting the fear-factor
Teens self harming and cynicism
Active behind such designs
With a mischief and malice.
