'Miss Ya' Poem by Kevin Wang

'Miss Ya'

Listen to my own thoughts
looking myself in the mirror
and seeing a doppleganger in a blurred vision
as it takes me back when we first met

mischievous glares of the unknown
sitting side by side
with seconds passing by so fast
and making class seem worthwhile cuz you're there

from time to time
sleeping through lectures
as jerky drones on and on
at least with you by my side
there's no more to worry about
cuz it's cool to know an angel sleeping, is just a head away
as much as I wish to be the wind beneath your wings

my lovely, my lovely
now classes seems so boring
not much to look forward to
like the end of the school days
except brief visits down the hallways

though evil on the out
i'm just () ^w^() in thought when I see you there
cuz i could see the lovely kitten that you are
growing prettier everyday
and younger by night (not that you become too young)

glowing, gleaming higher than any other stars in night
every N
every Y
I'd treasure deeply
cuz i can still taste those thoughts, memories swirling me away
'til there's no more than a happy little lad you made me like before
