Missing Seoul Poem by Ronald Chapman

Missing Seoul

The sun setting on another bitter day,
as snow falls through cold memories
on frozen waves.

Your love shines brighter than any beacon,
from thousands of miles away,

Guiding my way every day,
Sending me limitless hope,
from across a cold ocean,

Looking at the stars with
a half moon setting
in the western sky,

Sending me to sleep,
guiding my Soul through dreams,
to places and times, I've never been,

Seeing the stars change into cherry blossoms,
Seeing the half moon change into,
a dish filled with Songpyeon,

Asking Heaven,
Will I ever be able to,
hold part of Seoul in my hands?

Missing you for six years now,
it seems like I've known you,
for an eternity,

Wishing the gifts of
beautiful dreams,
that you send me, will never end...
