Mistake Poem by Daniel Miltz

Mistake

One afternoon I said to myself
Would a mistake be major or small
Mistake is the most minor fracture of all
Now venial is just the thing said
Wondering if a mistake is not bad
To remove that's really read
Above all others is the err
A pimply misdemeanor
It's something of a boner
When I think of the boo-boo
I see an unforgivable misconstrue
Down, down, down into
The darkness of the blooper
Gently it goes --tongue of trip
Case of the Freudian slip
O' how I mourn the blunder
