Mistaken Identity Poem by Kelvin Rush

Mistaken Identity

Branded a paedophile punched in the face
Blood lies silent all over the place
He's wrestled to the floor then kicked in the head
They want his life they want him dead

He's used like a football no one holds back
Blow after blow it's a vicious attack
A stamp on his face ends the brutal game
The wolves retreat smiling no remorse no shame

He wakes up in hospital he's shown CCTV
He can't bear to watch it's heartbreaking to see
Scarred for life he'll find no more peace
Mistaken identity according to the police
