Mistress Anne Poem by yvonne selase nyahe

Mistress Anne

Rating: 4.5

at night when all go to sleep
i sit by the window
too afraid to close my eyes
i dont want to imagine her in your arms
i dont want to hear her moan and groan
i am your mistress, indeed i am
you lay by me in the day
making sweet love to me
taking me beyond borderlines of passion
you make me laugh, you make me cry
you make me fall for you
but at night you go to her
she who bears your name
its she you touch, its her lips you kiss
do you dream of me, loving prince?
do you see my face when you close your eyes?
do you call my name when you kiss her?
or am i locked away in your heart?
i am mistress anne, indeed i am
pitied for my misfortune, loving another, s man
i sing my sad song to the shadows,
i cry out to the silent walls
save me, my heart is breaking
finally, the dawn breaks
and you, re here again
to love me and make me yours
then leave me cold and wanting
when the night comes.
