Mock Valentines' Poem by Nick Fay

Mock Valentines'

I know it’s a day late but it'll be alright,
It doesn’t really mean alot and I forgot last night,
But obviously the memory came to light,
So I came to write and type a few lines while ur valentines' rhyme was still in my mind,
Don’t expect my words to be kind,
I went to the anchor n couldn’t find my box of chocolates or card at the bar you said it was behind,
I thought 'Blank her. thanks to her my day is marred, cut all ties'
The cause? - coz you lied,
Why do it Kate? you really got my hopes up, so much so it tingled,
We we're mates but you didn’t make that effort for us not to be single,
I asked my friend at the pub and he said you hadn’t been,
You obviously aint that keen on me coz u know what? – I believe him,
Why try make me think he had ate them? Stop deceivin,
Like you thought I wouldn’t find out when it is so blatant,
My ultimatum to you is to replace them,
You’ve got one day or i’ll sever our relation,
24 hours to the second no hesitation,
I won’t be waiting so don’t reckon on negotiation
That’s it, no chance of reconciliation.
I want a big card, pretty and with hearts,
Our names written on one of cupid’s darts,
The chocolate box is up to you, milk or white but not dark,
Waste no time coz the clock’s started,
23 hours 53 minutes til we’re together or forever departed
