Modern Buildings Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Modern Buildings

Modern Buildings

Climbing high on the Empire State Building,
With New York City below.
I knew then that modern buildings,
Were meant to stand and stay that way.

Sitting on the thirtieth floor,
In an office of a modern building,
With New York City down below,
I knew these buildings were special.

They were built the New York way.

These special buildings,
With their special height,
Made me fill with amazement,
And delight.

These buildings were built the New York way.
