Oh the years, these God-given years
Waste them not, in idle contemplation.
Absorb all the knowledge, listen and learn
Keep up with the modern generation.

Fall in love ~ yes ~ if love comes your way
But a life on your own is an option.
With freedom to live a life which suits you;
So popular in this modern generation

Whichever road you choose, be forthright
And true; make the most of each situation.
There is music, travel, sport, poetry...
We were born in an up-beat generation.
