Moments Poem by Paul Warren

Moments

Rating: 5.0

There were moments when I could have shined
But I just stood back and stayed in line
I could have taken the lead and stood out
Really testing what I'm all about
I would go back if I could I am sure
And put to rest the doubts I now store

For we are all flawed I suppose
Why we do not take those moments - heaven knows
Just living my life with a clean slate
Wondering why at that time I did hesitate
Is it courage that I lacked at those times
Or is it easy to not stand out and stay in line.

hindsight is always 20/20. I can relate. Not sure I'd want to go back though and relive a lot of that stuff myself though.. Great penning. tfs
